Do you work in an inclusive Pre School or Primary School classroom where children with and without additional needs learn together?
Following the success of our Heads Up project in 2016 ReCreate is proud to announce the next phase, All Heads Together. This exciting programme aims to demonstrate the benefits of creativity through the reuse of our materials in inclusive pre-school and primary school settings in or around the Dublin area. This project is aimed at groups where children with and without additional needs learn and work together.
All Heads Together will begin in May with CPD training for early years practitioners, primary school teachers, special needs assistants and artists working in inclusive educational settings.
Focusing on engagement with Reuse Materials in Inclusive Classrooms and Settings’, this training will be given by Dr Carmel O’Sullivan of the School of Education, Trinity College Dublin and and ReCreate’s art Director Deirdre Rogers on the following dates and locations:
If this is something that you might be interested in then we are looking for the following:
6 Primary School and 6 Pre-School classes (1 per setting) to take part in this project.
Focusing on ‘The Arts & Reuse Materials in Inclusive Educational settings’ this project involves:
- 2 CPD training days for the selected groups teacher
(Locations: Russborough House, Blessington, Co. Wicklow and ReCreate, Ballymount in May)
- Working with a professional artist for 14 contact hours within your classroom taking place in September/October 2017
Participants who attend the full module will receive a CPD Certificate of Participation from the School of Education, Trinity College Dublin
