Workshops at ReCreate
Get in touch and enquire about our pioneering art education programme. Designed to explore the benefits of creativity through reuse, our aim is to demonstrate how the materials enhance visual learning on an individual and group level, contributing to the participants’ sense of achievement and wellbeing e.g. holistic, sensory, emotional, intellectual and creative enrichment. Working with young and old, our workshops are tailored to suit each group whether they are a pre-school setting, youth project or teacher CPD (continued professional development).
ReCreate works with a number of professional artists to deliver quality programs designed to teach groups the advantages of brain storming, thinking “outside of the box” and working collectively. Our artists can tailor each program to suit any group or request.
Our artists focus on the following areas:
- Materials Know How: Understanding and transforming objects and materials
- Art Skills: Using art specific mediums (e.g. plaster/print) paired with materials from ReCreate (e.g. hessian sacking)
- Lateral Thinking: How to use the materials to explore your imagination and play
- Aistear and Siolta: Create links between ReCreates service and the early childhood curriculum
Wide range of workshops available at ReCreate
The following are some examples of the wide variety of different workshops that the artists of ReCreate have facilitated since our launch in February 2014. In practice each class is very dynamic and hands on, incorporating some lecturing but has a strong emphasis on experiential learning.
